Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program WAITING LIST


The Kendall Housing Authority (KHA) will temporarily be accepting pre-applications for the KHA Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program (formerly known as Section 8) waiting list ONLINE ONLY starting:

October 11, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. CST through October 11, 2022, at 4:30p.m. CST


This will be a fully web-based pre-application process. Pre-applications will be available and accepted ONLINE ONLY.  At 4:30p.m. CST on October 11, 2022, the waiting list will close or when 300 pre-applications have been COMPLETED and successfully SUBMITTED- whichever comes first.

How to Apply?

A valid email address is needed to complete the preliminary application. KHA will only accept ONLINE applications. Please see the KHA HCV FAQs on our agency website for detailed instructions on how to create a Rent Café account if you have not already done so.  Your Rent Café account will allow applicants to check the status of their pre-application by visiting the Applicant Café link via 45-60 days following submission of the application.

Pre-applications will NOT be provided or accepted at the Kendall Housing Authority location unless you have been pre-approved for a Reasonable Accommodation. Your accommodation request must be written and must describe the reason why the online pre-application process prevents you from accessing the pre-application.
